Electrical power from renewable energy sources

The depletion of conventional energy sources, the increasing prices of energy carriers, the environmental pollution caused by the burning of fossil energy resources, the global warming and the climate changes face the world with a serious energy crisis. This increasingly sensible fact leads to two logical outcomes:

  • reduction of the relative energy consumption per unit of gross domestic product of the economy;
  • utilisation of the energy from local renewable energy sources .

The renewable energy is attractive because it produces a little or no polluting emissions, the available resources are renewed and in practice they will never deplete.

The category of renewable energy sources includes all non-fossil fuels and energy carriers:

  • solar power;
  • wind power;
  • the energy of flowing water;
  • geothermal power;
  • biomass for power processing;
  • biogas;
  • tidal power.
